Oliver C. Young, Esq.

Attorney

Oliver C. Young is a seasoned trial attorney and public servant with more than four decades of legal experience across both the courtroom and the community. He currently serves as an Associate Attorney with the Law Office of John V. Elmore PC, where his background in commercial litigation, torts, and products liability defense.

Previously Of Counsel at Barclay Damon LLP, and for nearly 40 years a Principal Court Attorney with the New York State Supreme Court in the Eighth Judicial District, Oliver has been at the forefront of judicial analysis, legal writing, and courtroom strategy for high-stakes civil and criminal matters. His work with the courts helped shape decisions on post-conviction motions, prisoner litigation, matrimonial law, and beyond.

Oliver is also a respected leader in New York’s legal and civic communities. He is a former President of the Bar Association of Erie County and currently serves on the Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority. He has held influential roles in the New York State Bar Association, including terms on the Executive Committee and the House of Delegates, and continues to champion youth development through decades of leadership with the High School Mock Trial Program.

In 2022, Oliver was appointed to the New York State Unified Court System’s Commission to Reimagine the Future of New York Courts, contributing his deep institutional knowledge to policy discussions shaping equitable access to justice across the state.

From shaping legislation to mentoring the next generation of lawyers, Oliver remains guided by a steady commitment to fairness, integrity, and public service.
